The sculptures Cliff Maiden, Water Spirits, Back Out to Sea and FairyTale Endings are connected like a trail of breadcrumbs which leads me back home to portraiture. I have always been interested in figurative sculpture from antiquity. The theme in these pieces explores the connection between written words and nature in the metaphor of human form. Cast in lead crystal and pate de verre. These narratives are intentionally ambiguous, inviting the viewer into the story as they assign their own interpretations.
